RESIDENTIAL TRIP LEICESTER UNIVERSITY

June 2019

Our students had a fantastic time on their end of term residential trip at Leicester University. The students had a brilliant week learning new skills, widening their knowledge and stepping out of their comfort zone to try new activities. Placing themselves in unfamiliar and challenging situation will build their character and confidence and may even find a hidden talent or interest.

We strive to help our students achieve their full potential and to do this we need to give them as many experiences as possible and push them to have a go at activities that they would not normally participate in. Some of the activities the students took part in were:

  • Creating their own society
  • Learning how to knit
  • Making a moving mini electronic bug using engineering and welding
  • The Egg Challenge
  • Moebuis strips in maths
  • Tennis
  • Learning where materials come from to make smart phones

All the students were exemplary on the trip and took part in all of the activities and challenges on offer, well done to them all.
